Movable Arrays

At Innovative Neurophysiology, we believe strongly that the ability to move electrode recording arrays after implantation provides significant advantages over fixed position arrays that cannot be moved following surgery. A few of these advantages include: a far greater overall yield of units per implant, the ability to record from multiple depths or loci with a single implant, and the ability to precisely position the electrodes within a target structure. As such, we are proud to offer state-of-the-art movable ultra-fine electrode arrays designed to facilitate a broad range of systems level neuroscience experimentation.

We currently offer movable bundle arrays consisting of 16 microelectrodes (23-μm diameter) which emerge from a single cannula. These electrodes can be extended up to 4 mm using a precision microdrive.

Design Options

At Innovative Neurophysiology, we recognize that many experimental situations require specialized, custom designed equipment and products. As a result, we are always interested in discussing individual experimental requirements. We will strive to find cost effective solutions or suggest alternative approaches.
