Although movable recording arrays offer many significant advantages over fixed arrays, at Innovative Neurophysiology we recognize that some experimental situations are best suited by standard fixed arrays. Using state-of-the-art micro-molding techniques, our fixed arrays are designed to be as compact as possible, thereby facilitating multiple implants within restricted regions. Moreover, our unique manufacturing process allows us to offer these arrays at very competitive prices.
We manufacture three standard fixed arrays, with fine wires positioned in 2×8, 4×4, and 4×8 configurations. However, if these products do not meet your particular needs, we are also happy to provide custom designed devices tailored to specific applications. Standard arrays are listed below. Common spacing intervals are listed for each array, though any spacing from 125 μ upward can be used when building your electrodes.
2×8 Fixed Arrays
These electrodes are arranged in a 2×8 grid, commonly with either 150 μ or 200 μ spacing between wires, and 200 μ or 1250 μ spacing between rows. Arrays use either 35 μ or 50 μ diameter wire. Reference wires can be incorporated into any design.
4×4 Fixed Arrays
These electrodes are arranged in a 4×4 grid, commonly with either 150 μ or 200μ spacing between wires and 200 μ spacing between rows. Arrays use either 35 μ or 50 μ diameter wire. Likewise, either size can be built with or without reference wires, and wire length can be fit to meet your needs.
4×8 Fixed Arrays
These electrodes are arranged in a 4×8 grid, commonly with 150 μ spacing between wires and either 250 μ or 300 μ spacing between rows. Arrays typically use 35 μ diameter wire. Once again reference wires can be included, and wire length is variable depending on preference. Images coming soon.
